How did it go for you?
It took me a minute or two!
Then thought of the expression,
To answer this question.
Simply use order of operation
Multiplication and addition in this situation!
I hope your brain is not sore,
As the answer is 104!
When I taught math,
This problem would be a wrath!
I would tell my students, don’t dilly dally,
but to “Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally!”
With a little grit, they would get it!
And after a while, we all did smile.
Now give this a shot,
And tell me what you got!
This was great Drew! Great explanation! Definitely different from my Math days!!
Thank you for the lesson!
I used to love this stuff in school. even in the engineering profession, i rely on basic math 90% of the time. i used the 3, 4, 5 method recently to make sure a foundation slab for a chemical shed was square.
